Individual Therapy & Counselling

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a one-on-one process that offers a safe, confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It’s an opportunity to deepen self-understanding and gain new perspectives through a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship.
Over the years, I’ve witnessed transformative shifts in clients who have reconnected with their inner clarity and creative potential. Our work will focus on uncovering how unexamined thoughts and emotional patterns may be blocking your growth. Through mindfulness, we cultivate presence, stability, and self-compassion—foundations that make real change possible.
We begin with an initial intake session, where you’ll share what’s bringing you to therapy and what goals you hope to achieve. I’ll ask some questions to get to know you better, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask me anything you need. The effectiveness of our work depends on your willingness to bring honesty, openness, and commitment to the process. Weekly sessions are recommended at the outset to build momentum, and as you progress, we’ll revisit the frequency of our meetings based on your needs and goals.
I live between Mumbai and Toronto and undertake sessions online and in-person.
Cancellation Policy: I request all clients to give me 24 hours’ notice in the event of a cancellation.
Otherwise, clients will be required to compensate session time by paying for the full session.
Modalities
Mindfulness- Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) combines cognitive behavioral techniques with mindfulness strategies in order to help individuals better understand and manage their thoughts and emotions in order to achieve relief from feelings of depression.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a modern, evidence-based approach that helps individuals break free from the struggle with difficult thoughts and feelings. Instead of trying to eliminate pain or discomfort, ACT teaches you how to accept them with openness and compassion—while still taking meaningful action in line with your values.
At its core, ACT blends mindfulness practices with behavioral change strategies. The goal is psychological flexibility: the ability to stay present, open up to your inner experience, and move toward what truly matters to you.ACT is particularly effective for Anxiety, Depression, stress and Life Transitions.
Compassionate Inquiry (CI)
Compassionate Inquiry (CI) is a psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté that gently uncovers the deeper layers beneath what we think and feel. It helps individuals move beyond their presenting stories to explore their unconscious beliefs, body sensations, and implicit memories that shape their current experience.
Through skillful and compassionate exploration, CI supports clients in identifying the core wounds and defense mechanisms developed in response to early life experiences. As these unconscious patterns are brought into awareness, the client begins to gain insight, clarity, and emotional freedom—developing the ability to respond to life with greater presence and choice, rather than from conditioned reactivity.
LGBTQ / Queer Affirmative Therapy
The simple truth is that society continues to uphold a narrow definition of love, gender, and relationships—where men are expected to love women, women are expected to love men, and together they’re expected to marry, have children, and pass on those same expectations. For anyone whose desires or identity fall outside of this cultural script, life can become more complex and challenging.
Many LGBTQ individuals grow up in environments that lack acceptance, often within families and communities that reinforce these rigid norms. Despite knowing who they are from a young age, they are frequently met with rejection, shame, or invisibility. These experiences can lead to deep-rooted trauma and internalized stigma.
Queer Affirmative Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore issues related to sexual orientation, gender identity, and self-worth. It not only affirms your identity—it helps you process the impact of living in a world that often misunderstands or invalidates it. This work is about healing, empowerment, and reclaiming your narrative with pride and clarity.
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Integration (PAT)
Psychedelic experiences— accessed through plant medicine in clinical settings, offer an altered state of consciousness that is often beneficial to penetrate the subconscious. This can offer profound insights, emotional breakthroughs, and shifts in perception. However, without proper integration, these experiences can feel overwhelming or confusing.
Integration sessions provide a grounded space to make sense of what emerged during these journeys. Through mindfulness, somatic awareness, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I help clients explore the meaning behind their experiences and translate those insights into lasting, embodied change.
This work is especially helpful for those seeking clarity, emotional resolution, or creative expansion following psychedelic or non-ordinary states of consciousness.
Demographic Experience
I have worked successfully with clients across a diverse spectrum of ages, social contexts, and cultural backgrounds. Areas of focus include Depression and relapse prevention, Anxiety, Stress reduction, Insomnia/ ADHD, and LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy.
Testimonials
Shalini Pandey
When I met Craig, I was genuinely ready to give up on therapy. I remember thinking, “Maybe this just isn’t for me.” But something shifted with him. He never rushed anything, never made it feel clinical. Over time, he helped me find the words for things I didn’t even know were sitting so heavily inside me. Thoughts I couldn’t untangle, feelings I couldn’t name — he held space for all of it with so much gentleness. He’s helped me understand myself better, not just in a mental health sense, but as a human being. Even navigating a past misdiagnosis, he did it with so much care and sensitivity. Therapy with Craig hasn’t just changed my inner world — it’s made my life better in ways I see every day, in my work, in my relationships, in how I show up for myself. I honestly think he’s one of the most important people in my life right now.

What sets Craig apart is that he’s not bound to a single therapeutic method. While he holds space for conversation, he also offers other tools—like meditation and embodied practices—that have allowed me to access silence, to feel my feelings not just in words but in my body. This mix works for me. Talking alone isn’t always enough, and Craig understands that. His approach has helped me remain relatively sane and grounded—at a time of immense personal loss and in a politically turbulent world.

I’m deeply grateful for the growth I’ve achieved under his care, and for the tools he’s given me to live more authentically and in alignment with my values.

I have been going to Craig on and off for over three years now, and I see him as my go-to person who helps me navigate my thoughts—and therefore my actions—in a way that is healthy for both me and the people around me.With his mindfulness-based approach to therapy, I have been able to move out of a victim mindset and into a more proactive and productive space.Through this journey with Craig, I have become more empathetic (towards myself and, as a result, towards others), hopeful, mindful, aware, productive, joyful, and kind.

For a considerable amount of time, I was unsure of going to a Therapist. Most importantly, I was worried about finding the right therapist who wouldn’t make me lose faith in the process of therapy. Craig came as a recommendation from a close friend and I think it was one of the best things to have happened to me! The first thing that struck me about him was his warmth and how it felt like, it was a natural thing to be honest with him. His sessions are a safe space where one can be vulnerable without any fear of judgement. He switches effortlessly from being a caring friend to someone who will administer tough love depending on what you need. In around 8 sessions, I felt like a burden of many years had begun to thaw and I could carry on the healing process with the guidance and insights I had taken away from our sessions. Craig is a ‘God sent’ therapist. I have and will continue to recommend him to friends and family!

Using the MBCT techniques, Craig helped me make peace with a few issues in my past and also achieve a major breakthrough in a matter that had plagued me for a very long time. His command over his subject matter as well as his humility to admit when in uncharted terrain is admirable. Highly recommend him!

I am very grateful to Craig and the MBCT programme for helping me to learn about my emotional patterns as well as so much more about my own psyche. The two most valuable benefits of completing the course have been learning to still myself through reflection and meditation and to learn how to identify and break through thought spirals that would lead to anxiety and upsetting times.
