Craig Pereira
Psychotherapist & Wellness Consultant
My Approach
My practice isn’t about textbook solutions—it’s about meeting you exactly where you are and creating a bespoke treatment plan, tailored to your goals as a client. Therapy with me is collaborative, dynamic, and designed for real change. My goal is for you to walk away not only with a deeper understanding of yourself but with tangible shifts in how you experience life.
Whether you’re navigating Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Insomnia, Sexuality concerns, Creative blocks, Relationship struggles, or Existential questions, my role is to help you move through these challenges with clarity and agency.
I am clinically trained and work from a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities:
-
Mindfulness & Somatic Work (MBCT/MBSR)
Connecting the body and mind to process creative blocks, anxiety, and self-doubt at a deeper level.
-
Trauma-Informed Therapy (CI)
Helping you reclaim your personal story and redefine your path in a way that aligns with your truth.
-
Cognitive & Behavioral Techniques (CBT, ACT)
Offering practical strategies to break free from limiting beliefs and self-sabotage.
-
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Integration & Depth Work (PAT)
For those seeking to make sense of transformative experiences—whether through meditation, altered states, or artistic breakthroughs. Integration sessions are an essential part of this process.
My Story
I came to therapy first as a client, long before I became a therapist. After spending 25 years in worldwide leadership roles within the corporate world, I transitioned careers mid-life to pursue my passion in the field of psychology. Although I tasted success in the corporate space, my quest as a seeker of deeper meaning and purpose led me to my true calling: working as a therapist in private practice since 2018.
I draw upon a unique blend of experience from both the entertainment industry and my training as a psychotherapist. My previous career involved advising and supporting artists, musicians, producers, directors, and other creatives—giving me an intimate understanding of the psychological and lifestyle challenges that are often specific to the creative world. This background now enriches my therapeutic work, allowing me to offer deeply personalized and relevant support to individuals navigating the complexities of creative professions.
All of the above, helped me develop a unique approach where I emphasize the pursuit of balance, exploring the tension between indulgence and discipline, and recognizing that connection—to oneself and to others—is at the heart of healing.
Outside of my private practice, I am also committed to service, working with non- profit mental health agencies such as PWA (People with Aids Foundation) , Agatsu Foundation and Counterpoint Counseling in Canada. I’ve worked successfully with clients across a diverse spectrum of ages, ethnicities, social, and cultural backgrounds.
Postgraduate studies in Contemplative Psychotherapy at ITM & the Nalanda Institute of Contemplative Science, New York, where I studied under experts such as Joe Loizzo, Bob Thurman, Richard Davidson, and Dan Siegel.
Certified MBCT Therapist, trained under Zindel Segal, founder of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), at the Centre for Mindfulness, Canada.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) certification under Steven Hayes, co-founder of ACT.
Trauma-informed training in Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry (CI).
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) certification from the Beck Institute.
Officially listed on the globally recognized registry of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) therapists. This recognition reflects advanced training and adherence to international standards in mindfulness-based therapeutic practice.
25+ years of global leadership experience with Apple Inc. and Sony Music Entertainment across India, Canada, the Middle East, and South Africa—relevant for leadership coaching and wellness consultations.
Over 6,000 hours of dedicated meditation practice, including daily sessions and annual Vipassana retreats. My extensive meditation background spans styles such as Mindfulness, Compassion, Transcendental Meditation, and the Sound of Silence.
Testimonial
Craig Pereira is a remarkable man, whom I’ve know for six years : first as his Professor of Mindfulness and Psychotherapy, then as his mentor, and more recently as his friend. I’ve witnessed his marvelous transformation from a successful international businessman at Apple, to a student of Clinical Mindfulness (MBCT, MBSR, ACT), which he has integrated into the system he calls “Mindful Flow”.
Craig is a critical and appreciative thinker who brings compassion to truth, in moving his clients to their liberation from suffering.
He is dedicated to his clients. He has the faith that within each person is a manifest destiny: the possibility for the realization of health, peace, and creativity. This is the work of therapy he offers.
