Individual Therapy & Counselling

Individual Therapy involves working with the client on a one -on-one basis to address their difficulties. Clients can share their innermost thoughts and feelings so that they can understand themselves better by gaining a compassionate, non-judgmental perspective.

As a mental health therapist, I specialize in the use of Mindfulness based interventions including psychotherapeutic modalities such Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy and Somatic experiencing for the treatment of stress related conditions, anxiety, mood and depressive disorders, Ā sexuality and LGBTQ related issues.

My experience and work have allowed me to witness radical changes in clients. I work to awaken the clients’ capacity to understand how their inner thoughts and feelings have undermined their movement to integration and blocked their creativity. Mindfulness facilitates clarity of perception, and establishes stability and self compassion. From here change is possible.

Our work together will start with an initial session (intake). During this session, you’ll be invited to talk about what is bringing you to therapy, and your therapy goals. I’ll ask a few questions to learn more about you and you will also be able to ask me questions. The quality of our work relies on your willingness to bring up important topics and challenge yourself to engage fully in the process. Commitment to weekly therapy is an important part of actively working towards change. As you make progress in completing your goals, we will assess together the frequency of sessions.

I live between Mumbai and Toronto and undertakeĀ sessions online and in-person.

Cancellation Policy: I request all clients to give me 24 hours’ notice in the event of a cancellation.
Otherwise, clients will be required to compensate session time by paying for the full session.

LGBTQ/Queer Affirmative therapy

The simple truth is that for the most part, men are still expected to fall in love with women, women are still expected to fall in love with men, and together they are still expected to marry, reproduce, and inculcate their children with similar beliefs and expectations. And whenever a person feels or desires something outside that cultural norm, life becomes more difficult. These people who tend to be different are generally being raised in intolerant homes with the overarching expectations of society.

As such, these individuals know, deep in their hearts and usually rather early in life, who they are and what they want in a partner. Society rejects them, they are regarded by many as abnormal and/or unacceptable. Hence: these extra layers of trauma and shame that many LGBTQ people carry are dealt with within. LGBTQ/Queer affirmative therapy helps individuals to address challenges relating to ones sexual identity & orientation.

Testimonials

Shalini Pandey

When I metĀ Craig, I was genuinely ready to give up on therapy. I remember thinking, ā€œMaybe this just isn’t for me.ā€ But something shifted with him. He never rushed anything, never made it feel clinical. Over time, he helped me find the words for things I didn’t even know were sitting so heavily inside me. Thoughts I couldn’t untangle, feelings I couldn’t name — he held space for all of it with so much gentleness. He’s helped me understand myself better, not just in a mental health sense, but as a human being. Even navigating a past misdiagnosis, he did it with so much care and sensitivity. Therapy withĀ CraigĀ hasn’t just changed my inner world — it’s made my life better in ways I see every day, in my work, in my relationships, in how I show up for myself. I honestly think he’s one of the most important people in my life right now.

What sets Craig apart is that he’s not bound to a single therapeutic method. While he holds space for conversation, he also offers other tools—like meditation and embodied practices—that have allowed me to access silence, to feel my feelings not just in words but in my body. This mix works for me. Talking alone isn’t always enough, and Craig understands that. His approach has helped me remain relatively sane and grounded—at a time of immense personal loss and in a politically turbulent world.
